  1. I got a EA71 Manifold here complete with carburettor and air box ready to ship in good running condition.
  2. It's actually 7.2 seconds :-)
  3. I put some 1 /3/4" into 2" Unequal length headers on on my EA81 powered 77 two door, sounds pretty angry to me :-)
  4. The factory turbo manifold wraps around the front of the engine also, but its double skinned. I'd be installing a heat shield between the pipe & the filter. The biggest problem with the factory pipes is squashing them when running off-road. The turbo's don't have this issue cos the ipe is higher & then goes over the engine crossmember, not under it. This should be in the Historic forum as it’s in a 77 2 door but, it has an EA81 so I guess it can go here…. I was concerned with heat transfer from the headers but, I’ve checked oil temps and it hasn’t gone up, even if it did I’m running 20W 50 so I can afford a bit more heat in the oil. I don’t think I’ll hit anything as the pipe isn’t hanging low and it’s not a 4wd You have to admit it is arguably the best sounding EA81 in the world……..
  5. Timing is at 13° BTDC, running custom 1 3/4" into 2" UEL headers and re jetted it using jets out of a Hitachi I had lying around (I think its out of a 2 litre Toyota Hilux) primary jet has gone from 110 to 112 and secondary from 140 to 156 but, honestly I cant feel much difference since changing the jets....... I believe the engine was originally out of a 90's Brumby (Brat) as it has the black rocker covers and electronic ignition but, unsure as I got the engine of ebay.
  6. My 77 two door sedan with a stock carburetor EA81engine and 5 speed (96kmh = 60mph). Watch "Subaru EA81 100kmh in 2nd gear." on YouTube
