  1. Sorry about this. It appears I misread the inch-lbs step. Thanks for all the help
  2. I was putting the heads back on my EJ22 and snapped head bolt #3. I got brand new fel pro bolts and gaskets. My manual said to torque to 22, 51, back out 180˚, back out 180˚, then torque the middle 2 to 25, then start on 3,4,5,6 to 132 for non-turbo. I can't seem to figure out where I went. Thoughts, suggestions?
  3. Do you sell and adapter plate to put ea82 rear struts on ea81?
  4. Good call on the AWD. The difficulty may be in finding room but if there is a groove for the exhaust that may help, as you'll be ditching the Saab exhaust. You'll need just about everything from the car. I have a link that may be illuminating, different projects, similar need to frankenstein parts. http://www.rslibertyclub.org/forums/showthread.php?100795-1986-Subaru-Leone-STi-TURBO This should help if you have the money and want to get it done in a timely manner.
  5. So I'm working on this project with my 1984 EA81 DL wagon. Attempting to swap in an EJ22 and the transmission from the same car, 5sp 4MT. I'm having some trouble figuring out how to mount the trans. I can cut out the tunnel but even so, I'm puzzled on how to attach the trans. I could use the EJ22 crossmember with the front sway bar removed. Any thoughts?
  6. I was able to swap the EJ22 ends on to my EA81 axles to install EJ22 5MT. Use the EA cage with the ball bearings from EJ. I'm stuck on how to get my MT to fit though, it's too tall and even with tunnel mod how would I mount to EA81 bracket? Anyone have ideas?
  7. I am also trying to do this. I encountered a "Manual" on here for EJ22 swap. The manual was comprehensive, though it said the a five speed from EJ22 could be swapped into EA81 body. I am unable to find any crossmember that will fit under my car. The stock one from EA81 does not allow for the height of the EJ transmission. Anybody know anything about this?
  8. You need to swap the hubs and possibly knuckle. Also for that you will need to change springs. Ive seen custom coil overs with ea top ends and ej bottoms. Ill try to dig up the info
