  1. my other subaru is an 86 Gl hatch back 4x4. when you look under the wheel on both of them there is a little plate with 2 bolts sticking down, and you can tell something went there.thanks for the info guys.
  2. some one told me that the reason i couldnt get my old subaru going is because it didnt have a brain box under the steering wheel (it was stolen). so when i heard this i went and checked my 83 wagon and didnt find a box under the wheel either. i dont know what its supposed to look like so if any one knows what im talking about could you please send me a pic thank you.
  3. :burnout:yeah black is where its at.
  4. the skid plates on my old sub are old road signs he he.
  5. does any body know where to get a 6 inch lift or bigger for the ol subie. i want to go big so i can show up my friends Baja Bug, and Chevy. 3 and 4 inch lifts just wont cut it. and will quad rims with a wide 4 lug pattern fit a sub if the holes were drilled wider
  6. I have a 1983 GL wagon 5 speed 4x4 and it wont start on its own. I have to hook jumper cabels up to it and pour gas down the carb. last time I started it, it was idleing low and when I tried to adjust the idle, it killed it and I couldnt get it started again. The one time i got to drive it, I couldnt get it to go over 2000 rpms because the whole car started hopping around like someone was just learning to drive a stick. I rebuilt the carb and it didnt look like it helped, so I'm wondering if a new distributer, or alternator would help.
