What are these?
Hey guys. I pulled y driver side kick panel so I could run some wire for a pair of fog lights, and I came across these 2 things. One is a little button on a white and black set of wires, and the other is a little black box with a red and green light. Any ideas?

Rough idle, & check engine light.
Just have to be mean to it I guess till the cat gets fixed. Good thing it's not a daily driver.

Rough idle, & check engine light.
Sweet thanks. The car would only run while I was pumping the gas, then it would bog down if I gave it too much. I pounded on the cat with a piece of pipe from up top and it started smoking, but after a short drive the smoke went away and it still idled good. I just got ack from another drive and now the car is running like poo again, wanting to die and sounds like it's missing.

The car is running well, still a little hesitation around 2500-3500 rpms. But it's an improvement for sure. I just need to go to an exhaust shop now, then I can really get it dialed in.

I think I figured it out. The cat might be clogged. I banged on it a few times and now the car will idle. I'm about to take it for a quick drive and I'll report my findings.

Rough idle, & check engine light.
I took the car for a drive the other day, and it started cutting out while driving, and dieing when I stop. I have to pump the gas pedal to keep it running. Im not sure what's going on.

Rough idle, & check engine light.
Hey guys, last weekend I bought an 89 gl 5 speed d/r. The check engine light was on when it, and when it was cold it didn't want to idle. Warmed up it ran fine. This weekend I put an air filter, fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pcv valve in it and changed the oil. I filled the tank and put a can of seafoam in it too. I drove it to my dad's house yesterday and on the way home it started to studder while driving. Today it is idling really rough, and when I tap the gas it dies. I checked the dtc's and I'm getting a core 34, 35, and 51. I'm not sure, but would any of those cause the car to idle rough like that?

Change 86 gl 5sp 4WD hi/low clutch
The 24 spline is the one you want. I'd have the flywheel resurfaced. Mabey change out the rear main seal while you're in there. Pull the engine to do the job.

89 EA82 fuel delivery
Hey guys, I'm about to pick up an 89 wagon to swap my parts to from my 86. I have a weber 32/36 dgev carb on the 86, and I know the 89 is fuel injected. I'm not sure if it's spfi or mpfi, if that matters. I'm just wondering if I should leave it fuel injected or put the carb and intake from the 86 on. Right now I'm running 235/75/15 tires and I don't know which setup would turn them better.

Perfect, thank you.

Which clutch kit?
Hi guys. My clutch just went out in my 86 ea82 dr. Looking on Orielys Web site there's 3 different clutches for an 86 ea82. Obviously I don't need the one for a 2wd, but the other 2 have me stumped. The first one says the disk is 8 7/8" diameter, 21 spline, with a 7/8" input shaft. The second one says the disk is 8 7/8" diameter, 24 spline, with a 1" input shaft. I haven't torn the car apart yet or else I'd be able to tell.

world record attempt?
Ok cool. I might renegade Earl to it and have the girlfriend drive the new suby (just bought a 2011 forester).

world record attempt?
Hey guys I guess there's a Guinness world record attempt for the longest parade of subaru cars on the 8th at 10 am in Tenino wa. Anyone else know anything about this?

Bumper mount options
Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking too. If I pulled something or backed into something I don't want the plates trying to rip through the body.

What Have You Done to your Soobie lately? (Please post in here and keep it going)
I think I'm gonna keep it. Cut the top off and cage it out.

The top was crunched down more, but I used my high lift and jacked it up so I could drive it home.

Rolled Earl.- Bumper mount options
I'm pretty good at breaking and bending stuff.- Bumper mount options
Ok. I was thinking about putting a 1/4" plate of steel in the middle hatch, and another on the bottom of the car, and bolting those together. The bottom plate will be welded to the bumper. I would think with 6-8 bolts in the plates in the hatch, I'd have more strength than the original mounting points.- Bumper mount options
I was adding some tube to my rear bumper this weekend and noticed it was a little loose. I pulled the plugs in the hatch so I could tighten it up and saw that the driver side mounting holes are ripped on the body. What would be the best plan of attack for repairing this problem? - What Have You Done to your Soobie lately? (Please post in here and keep it going)
