Well LSD will only break axles it only causes more stress to the axles that is why I went with the welded. I took out my axle and drive around just fine. I was frustrated to but all you need is a friend who can help you break those things loose. But in your defense I am sorry you had to endure the pain of axles but both of mine didnt want to come off and it took a weekend and three guys to get them off.

I also have a 60 ton press

If you want to bring it by my house and I will get it off for you. You need a 1 inch punch, I destroyed a pipe also. and the 5 pound sledge was a good idea it took almost 45 minutes to get it off between 3 people beating the hell out of it

I pull 27-30mpg on 26.5 inch tires with carb during the winter during the summer 30-35 during the summer and thats city and highway conbined

No worries I will go to the pro shop by my house they sell angel eyes and other projector lights I will see what lights come close to matching up with our subies I have been wanting to go by there and check out the supply they have and what would match or I will disassemble a projector light I get for cheap and integrate it to my headlights and run h4 or h1 bulbs they give out pretty good light

resources are that I always find 4.11 and 4.44 at the junk yard and I am not afraid of splitting a transmission and just swap a rear answer to the question it doesnt make you go faster it only helps with your torque curve hill climbs and loss of speed

Is it possible to change the ring and pinion in the tranny and back diff to 4.11 or 4.44 gears?

Only problem is now I try harder things that dont look to difficult locked

It was awesome welded I didnt have to try as hard to get up or around things. It was a little pain trying to keep from losing momentum going around corners on the street but I have pulled that rear axle in the back so many times that it just comes out in 10 min. I wouldnt go back from here it was wonderful
