Hey dude get it from subaru it is cheaper and they have it on the shelf I just picked up one from subaru 2 weeks ago for a friend saved so much money I bought a hat to -
Hey general take back the 60s comment the cars they make now are throw aways 1950 and 60s cars out perform and out last these cars now I still drive a 1966 plymouth everyday and it still has original wiring and motor with way over 300,000 miles and still hasnt had to be honed or bored just regular maintenance I even have 1964 cutlass with only 50 miles on the 250,000 mile rebuild and it is all orginal to. both carbuerated and could out do horsepower and torque ratio then most stock cars that are out there besides that the body and frame of the older rigs werent made to collapse like these late 80s to now rigs which still goes to show over engineering and comfort are to stupid things that we live with give me a car that shakes when it rumbles and that I can feel whenever I touch the pedal. New cars are just a conformity of our society which is brainwashed by media and corporate law. I would piss on any car newer then 1970 anyday call me old fashion but we went backwards not forwards with engine technology for mechanics not saying that electronics arent better now or suspension upgrades arent better but the fact that weight distribution has went up 30 to 40 percent making cars heavier now then 50s and 60s cars for what comfort? People to lazy to roll down a window or unlock a door manually. Thats why they buy automatics because its easier. Give me a 300 horse 4 speed manual with duals any day. which takes me to the facts of subarus the four wheel drive should still be around but not in america be cause none of the other hippie subaru people want to shift a stick for freak sake awd is a joke thats like my father in laws landcruiser its a awd drive 4wd that makes alot of sense de de de. sorry for my rant but dont down on older vehicles dude unless you can back up an accusation. Oh yeah by the way look up your history in the oil lubrication department they have actually took out the main ingredient that allows the coat of oil to lubricate and cool longer. Thanks to our goverment there has been lots of things taken from our past and made better so we think

well here it goes I cant spend anything for awhile so I am saving but I am watching for deals and waiting so I will post my project when I start

Well to comment on it most trucks that you buy are cool but there is always the strive to make it better or bigger and then you need bigger axles to provide for that Im looking for in between and I dont want a truck because I take my whole family and suvs dont even come with straight axles up front any more nor would it fit on a trail without being beat to hell I want a small wagon like mine with the ability to crawl over obstacles and dont need to throttle all the time otherwise I would toss on a 30 and aim for where ever I need to go. If I wanted practical I wouldnt have looked at a subaru but I want adventure I have a welder and I like my vehicles to have a part of me inside and outside of it. So my project will come at least the engine will be stock but the rest will be ?

totally right though I was sitting around the fire at a friends and I just want to go bigger looks like I will be converting it to straight axles It will be a job but that seems to be the right thing to do
-
30 inch is so cool though
-
yeah that hole can suck in a 44 inch swamper now that bill dug it out
-
Thank you I will make a list from both of you and start checking off things

My wagon runs a little hot Ihave changed the thermostat and the coolant but nothing changed it will cool down to normal when I cut on the heater what should I do
-
Right on I like the bfg but are the ats only in the smaller size

yeah I might just stay with my hankook tires they are pretty cheap and I have full replacement
-
and most of the time there are easy ways around obstacles

To think I almost bought one for 50 bucks in good shape and it ran arrggh -
little to no snow but we only made it as far as the mud field
-
I agree but I am usually around for support, I like driving around the woods and exploring more then getting in trouble lol
-
That was 1bignose 2 door 30 inch tires no lift that started out as a 2wd thats why I was asking about 30 inch tires it really makes his rig huge The ruts are deep and you will scrape but you can drive around to that was way to easy the shot was right after we pulled the landcruiser out of the hole
-
where did you get 26 inch mud tires?
-
well ouch yeah my buddy has a lifted suzuki samurai with 31s and stock gearing gets about 3rd and fourth gear but thats about it
-
well that does kind of sum things up I just wanted to up my selection of tires I am only running 26 inch tires so maybe 27 will be the best I should go then ? thank you everyone for the knowledge
-
OK if I run a 30 inch tire on a 4 inch lifted wagon with a stock engine is it ok to run in low gear? on the street all the time
-
The cost of those lights were less then getting just the one he broke replaced
-
Im going welded pretty soon
