  1. No I don't have to stick them to anything. All I do is take off the transfer tape then lay them flat on the ground and put my scanner on it. For the long pieces I scan them in sections and place them back together in Photoshop. If you do run across them I'd love to see them so that I can match the colors. I imbed PMS color codes in my files so that the printers know what colors to match. I haven't got much interest on here for them but I might invest in a couple sets to sell on ebay. My BRAT stripes are selling like crazy on their and I don't think every Subaru enthusiast is on this message board.
  2. Yes, the EA82 5sp D/R 4WD is the one I'm talking about. There's a dude on here named jerry (bratsrus1) and he sells a kit so that the EA82 transmissions will bolt up in your EA81 rig (shift linkages & cross member). It works great! As far as the RX transmission goes you'll still need the kit but I think you'll also need a rear end from the RX as well because of the different gearing, but don't quote me on that.
  3. Just get an adaptor plate and use the transmission from your BRAT (if you want to make the swap easy) or you can go to a 5sp D/R 4wd and get Jerry's kit (100% bolt up). You shouldn't need to weld anything. Everything should just drop right in and bolt right up. Your rig that you’re swapping from is going to be OBDII so you'll have that to deal with unless you swap out the intake manifold and wiring harness from an OBDI rig. Good luck and post photos of your swap. I love to see how other people do it.
  4. oh, they must have come in different colors. I wonder how many color combos their were.
  5. no, those were the colors of the originals, but I can change the colors around to whatever you want.
  6. I have a 1990 loyale turbo and the oil pressure drops all the way down to 0 after it's been warmed up. I replaced the oil pump and the sending unit, but nothings helped. I get great pressure when it's cold and for about the first 10-15 miles then it goes down. If I rev the motor up really high I get about 10psi. Anyone know how I can fix this or what the heck the problem is? thanks, earl
  7. Well I'm going to give it another week or so and if I don't get any takers then I'll just call this thing a bust and not produce them. (12 hours of my time wasted). Maybe my gen 1 brat stripes will do better. I modeled them after this BRAT.

  9. Well I've finally finished them. These are Subaru desert fox stripes that I've scanned in and recreated in vector art. I've adjusted the sizes so that I can make sets to fit All Gen II model Subaru’s (BRAT, Hatch & Wagon). I can't really determine a price just yet because I need to know how many people are interested and do some kind of group buy. The more orders I get the cheaper they'll get, but just for a ball park figure you're looking at about $100 to $200 a set. They are printed on a solvent printer using a high quality 3M™ self-adhesive Controltac Vinyl with Comply. Thickness 3 mils plus laminate. Let me know if you have any questions.
  10. Great work. I can't wait to see it all finished. I did an ea81 swap on my 78 brat. Less work, less wires, less power, less cool, but still fun. Please keep posting photos. Are you doing the swap on the yellow brat you brought to WCSS7?
  11. I know that both of them fit on my 1990 loyal turbo (rear disk). I just can't believe that I fount 2 brand new sets sitting in the back of a wagon at the junkyard. They were still wrapped up. I can't wait to put them on my freshly painted rims. I'm going to give the other set to my buddy. So I guess that the smoother one with the bigger logo in the center are from gen 3 subarus and the other is from a gen 2.
  12. I went to the junkyard today to look around and found 2 brand new sets of center caps and lug nuts. The center caps are different so I wanted to see if anyone knew why. I thought Subaru only made one style of center cap.
  13. These are for gen 2 BRATs. $50.00 a set (+Shipping) I have: 2 sets of white left
  14. ya, I triple checked it. I'm going to mess around with it this weekend and see what I come up with.
  15. I'm getting desperate and grabbing at straws here so I'm going to try everything I can to get this thing running. It might seem like a long shot but maybe in the process I'll find the real problem.
  16. Hmmm, a lot of very interesting theories. I guess I'll switch all the timing gears over to the 3 plug system just in case then if that doesn't work I stair at the wiring some more.
  17. I poked around a bit and didn't find the thread so I just posted the same question on that message board.
  18. no, but the motor ran when I pulled it.
  19. I've noticed that some ej22's come with 2 plugs (coming from the motor and connecting to the main wiring harness) and some come with 3 plugs. Why is that? I know it has nothing to do with the transmission (auto vs. manual), the only thing I can see at the junk yard is that the 2 legacy's that I found with the 2 plug system are 1992's. I reason I'm asking is that the ej22 that I put in my hatch was a 2 plug system and the wiring harness that was installed is a 3 plug system (swapped the intake manifold to make it a 3 plug system) but I can't get the motor to run and I'm wondering if the cam pick ups on the back of the gears are different on a 2 plug system vs. a 3 plug system. It seems more and more that I have a timing issue rather than a wiring issue so by swapping out the cams from a 3 plug system on to my motor might solve my problem, but I have no idea what the plug differences mean. thanks, earl
  20. Here are some of the photos I took at the show. Enjoy:)
  21. well I called rallitek and I'm taking my rig in this Thursday to get the wiring finished. If they can't figure it out then it's a lost cause.
  22. I know I don't. and take that photo of my car off of you name. TuRD
  23. ah yes, and some one got shot at the phone booth right outside there a couple of months ago. Man I love my neighborhood. I'm down with the mall 205 thing. See you guys there.
