  1. I heard the Denso Iridiums are good but the tip breaks. They said its too thin, and that I should go with the NGK Iridiums. I guess they have a thicker tip. Anybody knows anything else on this?
  2. About 4 months ago my passenger side caliper was seizing on me. One of the pistons would lock up and not move. It tore up the rotor bad. If I have to replace one side I have to replace the other, thats how I always was and always will be. Brand new or not, I wont have to worry about it in the near future. I went out and got 2 refurbished calipers from a Subaru dealer. I also got 2 new front rotors by Power Slot and Carbotech Bobcat brake pads for the front and back. While I was doing the brakes I figured I get the Goodridge S/S brake lines. I still need to put on the rear lines, but my brakes work 10 times better.
  3. I would love to get my hands on a Legacy 5spd. Maybe something with a blown engine. I love the Legacy, its a great car. Good luck with the search!!
  4. How many cc's do stock fuel injectors run on a stock 97 Legacy 2.5 GT? Can I put in STi injectors? With out any modding?
  5. I have pics of them up on here http://members.cardomain.com/reason come check them out. Dont forget to vote ;-)
  6. Ok guys thanks for the help. Ill go with a 17" rim. I think i'll go 7.5" wide though. Besides 17's are less exspansive than 18
  7. I just bought JDM headlights for a 97 Legacy, and on the head lights there is a third light (194). I'm not sure what its for, so I might turn it into strobe lights, any suggestions??
  8. Does anyone know the offset and bolt pattern on a 97 Legacy??? And I'm think on getting rims that are 8 inches wide for the front, and 9 inches wide on the back. Is this good or it wont work??? Let me know how wide of a rim I can get with out any rubbing. Oh and I'm getting 18 inch rims if you need to know. Please any info will help. I want to get thses SOON!!!!!!!!
  9. I hope I get a letter. I had my head gasket replaced last summer. Around 70-72,000 miles.
  10. Well when I was having a over heating problem, I was hoping that it wasnt my head gaskets. So we tried replacing the thermostat, flushed out the radiator. Then I thought it might be the water pump, so i got the water pump out, and it wasnt bad but it didnt spin as easy as the new pump I got. Maybe the bearing where going, this was at 70,000 miles. Im the type that will replacing anything old for something new on my cars, always had. Dealerships suck, they tell you things you dont need to know, and they dont tell you what you want to know. It should have been replaced, but they look at it that you have to come back and spend some more money to take the front end of the engine apart, thats my opinion. Well good luck with your car, oh yea, it was my head gasket
  11. There is a company called Gold-Line. They make adjustable camber bolts that adjust from 1.5-2.0 degrees. Now is that for only the back? or is it for the front too? I dont want inside tire wear. For now the car is a daily driver. So after I lower it, what can I do for a balance wear on the tires?
  12. The springs lower the car 1.25" in the front and 1.0" in the rear. Are you telling me that I should get adjustable strut mounts? I know Cusco has some, but they are pricey.
  13. I have KYB-GR2 struts and H&R springs, Im ordering STi strut top mounts. I will also install a Cusco front and rear strut braces. So if I dont go too big with the sway bars I should have a stiffer ride, but not tto much to alter the steering?
  14. So what I can understand is, that I just need to find out what i think feels best with my car? I just what to stiffen the car for quick sharp turns and high speed long turns.
  15. I want to get bigger front and rear sway bars on my 97 Legacy GT sedan. Is 22mm for the front and back ok? does it even matter at all?
  16. Unless you plan on going to Japan or you know someone there http://www.takakaira.co.jp/ would be your best bet. I going to be ordering some body parts from them soon. You also can get the twin headlight conversion at http://www.boxer4racing.com thats teagues auto. That place kicks rump roast Dale Teague has been real helpful with me, and thats where I order all my parts for my 97 Legacy GT Sedan. If you find any other sites with body parts let me know. Good luck
  17. I just recently used Castrol syntech blend, can I go back to dino oil? should I even bother with the blend? or just go full synthetic? I have a 97 Legacy GT engine has a little over 76,000 miles on it
  18. I want my engine with 75000 miles on it, in the new car, that engine has 130000 thats a lil too many for me. Besides I have alot of money into my engine, I had to replace the head gaskets on it, it has brand new water pump, thermostat, and timing belt. I use a synthetic blend and I know this engine. This other 1 has 130,000 miles on it, only god knows how he beated on it.
  19. I have a 97 Legacy GT automatic(75,000miles). I'm about to buy the same car but its a 5 spd(130,000). I want my engine in the car because it has lower miles and I put alot of money into the engine. Is this as simple as just switching the 2?
  20. So there should be no big difference between Denso Iridium and NGK Iridium?
