It's a 97 Legacy GT, I have a few places to look for my Haynes manual. If I can't find it I will go buy another. I would like to get an idea of what to look for.

Where is this "Tail Illumination Relay"? That might be the problem. I can't find my Haynes manual so I'm sort of in the dark.

Yea EVERY light works on my car. The 4 tail lights wont light up unless you hit the brake. Other than that the tail end is dark.

I say it's been like that for 2, 3 weeks at most. No I haven't done anything electrical or anything else for that matter.

OK, I feel real stupid. I don't know why but I said my brakes lights are out. It's the running lights that are out lol. So let me try this again. I have all my light but the RUNNING (tails) lights. I DO have brake lights. My tails wont light until you hit the brakes. Again I feel stupid for the original post.

I wonder why the "techs" at Subaru didn't say anything about a brake light switch. Is this as easy to replace like a fuse or a relay?

Every light works but my running (tail) lights. So driving at night is a problem. An ideas on what could be wrong will be great. The bulbs are fine and the fuses are straight. I talked to 2 Subaru places and they don't know why. We discussed relays but the directional would be out too, but they are fine. Any input would be great, I cant drive my car to and from work at night.

WOW! It was worst than I thought. The server screwed up and erased everything and the SQL database. So everything was lost! It's a rebuild stage now. We lost so much and will take weeks to rebuild.

$70 is crazy, I can't see spending that much money for a center cap.

Check out eBay, junkyards and if you have to, go to a dealer.

I believe there is 310 members. All 4 gens from around the world. It's a good group of people. I learned a lot about JDM Legacy and parts from some of the members from Japan and New Zealand.

So my Legacy sat almost 3 months (Jan-Mar). Before than the knock sensor code went on. I had it cleared and it didn't go on until last week. I have the codes read and it said misfire all 4 cylinders and knock sensor. I reset my ECU and put new gas and gas treatment. No codes for the past week. I should be all set with the misfiring right? It was probably bad gas? what about the knock sensor? Should I replace it? is it expansive? And can I do it myself?

I'm looking for an online site that sells new or refurbished OE rims. I had a site where I bout 1 from before but I forgot the site. Anyone have any good sites?

My Silverstars worked longer than my PIAA's I had. This summer will be a year.

I have a 89 CRX DX 5 speed and beat the hell out of it. I have some things done to it. Cost less than parts for a Subaru thats for damn sure. All said and done, I rather drive my Legacy. Rides like a dream and it looks ten times better

What is the dead weight that can be dropped??

Where can you order Seafoam from? I went to a parts store and asked if they had any. This guys looks at me like I had two heads. Is there a place on the net I can order it or a place I can call?

It's an auto, I was once told around 33% would be lost. I was just wondering if the is a solid number to go by.

Does anyone know the WHP for a 97 Legacy GT? its 165 at the flywheel. How much power is lost in the drivetrain??

So Mobil One is good then? I think a good oil filter would be K&N. I just got 1 and I will use it with the Mobil One oil this week.
