just picked up an '87 wagon for parts. when I first saw it, I thought it looked like it would be a shame to part out, as it had a few rust spots on the body, but not too bad.

 

then I looked underneath.....doesn't look to bad from the side:

there's about a foot or more of the frame rail that is entirely gone!!

I forgot to mention....this car barely has 130k on it :eek:

Thats the same place that did my XT6 in...mine was worse though...you are still at the saveable point actually if you want to put some work into it..welding and cutting.... that is to us N easterners.:)

Geez, that why I'm taking the precautions now, so I don't end up like this in the future. Thats just shocking though, I mean man, the frame rail is gone where it curves up! Wow..
