February 4, 200422 yr Haven't started looking for a way yet.Thought I'd look to experience first. 1987 Turbo wagon EA82T Thanks
February 4, 200422 yr aww come on Paul, you should be able to do this:D I'm not quite sure on that style of wagon but I know on my 79, I had to wiggle a screw driver through the grille and press on the little lever that is pulled by the cable. It took me about 30 minutes to do it but I finally got it open and pulled out the hood release mechanism. I hope you can figure this out;)
February 4, 200422 yr If you reach up between the grill and radiator there is a short arm that sticks out of the release mechanism that you can pull to release the hood. It's a really tight squeese to get your hand in there if it has A/C.
February 4, 200422 yr I dont have AC and I can get my hand in between the rad and the grill.. hook a few zip ties to it and have them come out of the grill.
February 4, 200422 yr If you dont want to mess up the finish on the hood, use a flat piece of metal stock about 1/8th thick. The latch is on the right side (you prob knew that) and push towards the right (you prob knew that too). Rob
February 4, 200422 yr Author I'll give it a shot later....in the dark....shot in the dark haw haw haw yuk yuk....I have a Jimmy-bar that should work.Or something.
February 5, 200422 yr I just got up there with a coat hanger and put it through the hole for the hood latch and pulled towards the drivers side. Pretty easy. Joe
