Any non-EGR 96-99 EJ's on here?

Featured Replies

Anyone have a vehicle that is a non EGR EJ22 or EJ25?

Interested in finding out the ECU part number for such a vehicle. Year, make, model would be interesting too.

My 1998 OBS doesn't have an EGR on it.
Woah yes - is it a manual or automatic? I had a 98 OBS without EGR a few years ago too, still have the motor.

It's a manual. Looking to be selling it in the next few months once I'm done rebuilding a WRX for my wife.

My 96 has no EGR. (ej22 manual awd) Where might I look on the ECU to find the number you need?

Thanks fairtax, actually your part number won't help what I'm asking for, but would be interesting to know probably for someone in the future. I thought the numbers were just stamped right on the ECU - it's under the passengers side foot carpeting. I can check one of mine that's already removed if you're interested in digging it up.

I'm looking for myself, but need one from an automatic.

And the other person (GSIR...they have another thread) needs one from a 97+ model.

I have a brighton wagon 99 ej22 automatic (california emission) MAP based. I've looked for and don't believe I've seen this egr thing people mention.

hmmm, yours is phase II being an EJ22 so I guess that's sort of out of range for comparison purposes.
