accident bent control arm

Featured Replies

my boy had a accident no one hurt, front bumper cover broken, tire blown out, , fender, went to put on different tire same rim same size tire, the tire almost hits the mud flap , not sure what is bent

control arms and struts bend fairly easily in accidents. it'll likely be one of those that need replacing.

strut is easiest, if you got any spares you can swap that out just to see.

taco'd control arm so it sounds.

what year model vehicle are you talking of.

they build them so they bend, instead of bending your frame. I like how they prevent frame damage.

there is a real good chance that they used the same one in 1990. there should be plenty of then around.

if no one here has one , or if shipping is too high, look here:

in my neck of the woods, 35$ to 50$.

left or right side??

EDIT: same one 90 - 06

I would lean towards the control arm too. When I got hit on the front left side of my car it crunched everything and bent the control arm. I was amazed that it could bend so easy.

Just get a used one, they bend and you will never get it back to original. When you bolt the new one up, make sure you do NOT cross thread the 2 rear bolts, they are fine thread and are easy to cross.

Real easy, two bolts in the back, and the pivot bolt up front along with the sway bar bolt and the ball joint.

Huge interchange 90 - 99 at least.
