I finally got a super coil. All I can say is wow. I can't believe the difference it made in upper RPM acceleration and throttle response.I also replaced my 7mm wires with a set of 8mms,new NGK plugs gapped to.50,cap,rotor,fuel filter,air filter,and oil change.My Brat had a tune up about a year and a half ago so I didn't have a bunch of really old stuff on it, but it really moves a whole lot better with less pedal required.I'm gonna go on Ebay and look for an intercooler for it.I think I've been bitten by the bug.

yeah I had the same set up on my four-door with the wires, coil, and plugs. It had made a noticeable improvement in throttle response and fuel economy wasn't really affected by the power increase.

 

I also gave jim wood a hand with two of his soobs and the accel set up. He had the same wires I had(not brand, but style) the ones you cut to length and put the boots and the end of the wire together. Jim also noticed an increase in the throttle area of his rides.

the best mod was the exhaust . free flow all the way back , no center cat, turbo muffler , no big fat cat, 2in pipe , aleast 2-3 mpg more , cooler on the temp gauge also , but when you bump up the timming you loose alittle mpg , so i may turn it back , my wife drives it most and she said aleast 20% more hp great improvement

Just bought the Accel coil/wires for the Wife's ride. I'll be installing them a bit later today. Along with new NGK plugs, and the rest of the normal tune-up/maintenance items.

I just installed an Accel Super Stock coil about a half hour ago!(Finally). Working by flashlight really sucks, and so do rusted coil brackets! The throttle response has improved respectably, although I still need to get new wires and plugs. What are the best wires/plugs to use?

NGK plugs gapped at .047

8mm wires, i got accel 8.8mm wires for like 15 dollars or something like that.
