December 6, 201114 yr Denso platinum's are what I use - quite a bit cheaper than the NGK's platinums or iridiums and they are basically the same plug. Japanese made. GD
December 13, 201114 yr I don't believe the 99 calls for anything exotic. I run the NGK Ugroove 2 dollar plugs with the green writing BKR6E-11/BKRE5-11 or something like that. And stay away from Bosch Platinum.
December 16, 201114 yr I'm quite happy with NGK G-Power plugs...NGK's base platinum(nothing fancy) plugs, about $3 each. I also use NGK's spark plug wires. Both plugs and wires have been quite reliable in my 2000 Legacy wagon.
December 16, 201114 yr check your owners manual - it should give a listing of recommended brands/types of spark plugs. go with the first recommendation in the list - if you cant get those, then go to the next one and so on. there is zero reason to run an expensive, fancy plug if it isnt a specific recommendation for your application - unless you have more money than you need....
