February 26, 201214 yr cool. how soon do you gotta do the headgaskets? that looks cool. you now have a new BRAT. The Baja is the type of vehicle you can drive for a few years, and then if the time comes to sell, you can sell for more, since it is collectible status car. going to put a 5spd D/R in it? February 27, 201214 yr Author it's a slush-o-matic. no 5 speed swap in the future. lights and basket first, then maybe a pushbar. and some Grabber AT2s. Will be lifted sometime too....
March 3, 201214 yr Author new tires today. had Goodyear Assurance triple treads on it, and the left front had a lot of cracks... now riding a lot smoother actually, which I was not expecting... Yokohama Geolander AT-S
March 4, 201214 yr Author New plugs, wires, air filter and wipers. Runs 100x better now. and defogged the headlights.
March 6, 201214 yr Author the original owner traded it in at 104k. the guy who had it before me (for about 6 months didn't do anything to the engine, so I've been trying to find out service info on it. the last service at the dealership in MN was at 73k, but not sure what it was... it's got 109k on it now. trying to decide if it's had the headgaskets done, and maybe timing belt with it.....
March 7, 201214 yr Author timing belt is so clean I could eat off it.... no cracks. looks like fresh rubber. got my bug deflector installed. my wife took a picture out of her window at work of a yellow baja. about 3 blocks from where I was with mine. it had the snuglid, and a bra on front. it was a sport model too...
May 22, 201213 yr Author no, looks like that will be later this summer. got a deck to build, and save up money for new struts all around to do at the same time as the lift...
