Thats because nobody is calling him on it. You should be just as scared of that engine as an Ej25D like your Outback has. Except, todays technicians can probably figure out how to pull a trouble code or order a part for it without trying 3 times. All the same, I wish you luck in it-Im not a huge fan of that particular car but still a fan.

I'm not scared of either engine. I like the engine in my outback. What I'm not crazy about in the outback is the A/T, and body style.

Easy, come back with cash in hand. Then he'll be signing that title right quick.

Yes, this is the way to get the price you want. Most people will not/cannot turn down a fist full'o bills.

Yeah, cash is king, but this is a small town dealership. He is the type of guy that MAKES me not want to "buy local"! I hate the locals, they are crooks! He told me on the phone, "it books for $4k, but I got a little room on it"! Ha! the VERY VERY best book price I could come up with was $2750! Yeah, I'd say you "got a little room on it"!:drunk:

Why don't you tell him to come here, and we'll tell this dude a thing or two about his pricing and what he should expect ;)

I say $1,350 with tax and Reg.

No kidding! I would drop $2k on it. Yeah, it's that nice! Looks rust free, but when I looked at it, it was on my way to work, and dark. I didn't crawl on the ground, but the body was cherry!
