anyone know where i can purchase one or if subaru if compatible with another make trying to upgrade air intake system thank you...

You're not going to gain anything from a shiny chrome intake. The stock subaru one is already cold air intake, and designed pretty well.

just trying to remove bulky things from the engine bay trying to make it clean and simple... Not about power gain or looking pretty just having it look less clutter and more clean...

thanks for the replies do appreciate it wasn't sure if Nissan had any compatibility Wikipedia said Nissan was a share holder or something for Subaru

This is silly.

So really it's for no reason at all. Are you gonna pull the dash and reroute all the wiring so it "looks less clutterred and clean"? Is this a car or a china cabinet in the dining room? A car, it's job is to drive.....and you want to sacrafice it's mechanical well being for the "look".

The stock air intake is quieter, colder, and allows use of more effective filter(K+N's suck for actual filtration)

Stock Subaru intake, better in every way.

Stick with the stock intake. It prevents the engine from ingesting water. That's the point of the snorkel under the fender. It's also a cold air intake as it doesn't draw air from the engine bay - if you put on a cone filter with a MAF adaptor it will be a warm air intake and you will both reduce your performance and potentially harm your engine via water ingestion.

Not to mention the ECU getting lost and causing your mileage to drop by 10 or 15 mpgs in town, and the clouds of smoke that will be pouring out the tail pipe at WOT.

All that piping is there to keep it running at it's best. Subaru engines have very high harmonics that wreak havoc on the ECU when you change the intake. So, unless you plan on building a high RPM monster that is garbage to drive in town, leave it as is. Your car will be much happier and so will your wallet. ;)
