This last weekend. Friday night super specials were at Portland International Raceway. Saturday and Sunday start/finishes were in The Dalles and Dufur.

I was there. I saw them once in service, and once in a Parc Expose, but they were pretty elusive during the day. I wanted to have a peek inside and take some pics, but I never got close enough.

I heard that it laid down some very competative stage times, not bad for a borrowed car, but that later caused them problems when the turbo hose popped off and they didn't have the tool kit in the car. Later there was a IAC wire loose, and a fuseable link overheated

the first pic was at a different rally back in 04-06,my RX in front.

 

I was just a spectator at oregon trail, but i sort of know the co-driver of the RX.

That's a great looking car. I wish my door panels looked that good.

Production GT class.....so yea. Has to be stock engine and transmission

From the sounds of things - the condition of the car and his lack of knowledge/experience - one of these races it's going to catch fire and burn to the ground.

 

Sad that it's running the stock engine and wiring. That needs an EJ swap and new harness.

Obviously a Sparco wheel, is it also a Sparco hub adaptor? Does anyone know? I'm trying to find a way to put a race wheel in my RX project.
