sefferonie
Going to be (DIY) painting my wife's 93 legacy sedan, looking for some paint brand/color suggestions/recomendations- she wants a pearl white color. Thanks in advance!
nipper
er, um, what process will you be using?
sefferonie
I've got an HVLP system. I used to refinish bathtubs with acrylic enamel, but I've read acrylic urethane is better for auto. I've seen some auto paint sites with all in one packages, but I'm just not familiar with all the brands/quality? Process- prep, primer, paint? Crazyeights
I would look at Urethane and separate clear-coat vs Acrylic. It works very well and is quite forgiving in the event you need to fix a mistake, ect.
sefferonie
Ok, I'll check that out thanks... any paint brand recomendations?
doc526
My dad and I have used PPG stuff in the past on the hot rods and it seems to work good. Recently, Duplicolor has put out a line called Paintshop and I have been wanting to try it out. You can get all the items from your local auto parts store vs. going to an auto body supply shop. Loyale 2.7 Turbo
...any paint brand recomendations? My personal Experience: I Always use Glasurit or Klass brands Polyurethane paints; the finish will outlast any other car paint and you always have the "Just Painted" feeling, even after years of use.
