Well I already have two other things going on that day that I'm debating on which one to do. I also still need to fix my car. I really want to come up there soon though. Hopefully we get some rain soon.

First off, as you all may have heard, there has been a fire at Walker. So far it has burned about 25 acres in the recent Roaming Roe timber harvest near the SMC trail. I’m not sure how successful fire crews have been in containing the blaze, but as of Sunday Walker has been closed to recreation use while fire dangers are still high and crews are trying to get a handle on the situation. I’ll keep you informed of new developments as I learn more. If possible, please pass this information along to your respective clubs.

It says it will be open on the 15th again............

Jeff

That might be a good thing for me since my mystery oil leak has returned. Oil sep plate and valve cover gaskets replaced and is still leaking.

It says it will be open on the 15th again............

Jeff

I'd like to make it up before I, but don't know if I can....Would be fun to hit her in the mud again....

cheers

Sheesh, it's been dry as hell. I went up with buddies to camp at Greenwater last weekend, fire danger was too high to even have any kind of camp fire.

Don't suppose the 20th is on a Sunday?

No idea. It's not leaking anymore, just smoking like crazy and it sobs like it has a stuck lifter. Going to pull the Franken motor and put in my spare for now.

No more smoke screen and drive shaft is back in. Just need to fix the connector for my knock sensor and I'm ready.

Oh wait...skid plate too but that's not stopping me. I'll be there this time.

Crap, wife has to work on Saturday, meaning I'm watchin' kids. . . Wish you guys would plan more Sunday runs.

Well I got off work late so I didnt get anything ready for the trip, Ill be up early to get it all set up........ Looks like there will just be 3 of us on this run but its still going to be fun, Nice and muddy!!!

Jeff

Trail was good. We only did one. My engine decide to act up on Conway hill on the way there and then I lost my oil cap half way through the first trail. Thanks to Rick's roadside chainsaw carving skills and a little help from Butters we made it out ok.

Need to swap out the Frankenmotor for the stock 2.2 but other than that no major damage just a few new dents.

Didnt really last long enough to take pics, things didnt go to plan, made it down half of lowermain line, then we had some issues. Just workin the bugs out on a new ride!!!

Jeff

More like breaking things that needed to be fixed on the old ride. :-p

Note to self: Fresh heads + tired short block = Excessive crank case pressure.

So much pressure that you will lose your oil fill cap like a champagne cork on New Years.

That motor is out and stripped down to the short block. Spare motor is in. She'll be ready for the next one.:headbang:
