what is a lift

Featured Replies

I know there is tons of different kits but was curious on the websites or info on BJ Lift Kits and JAW lift kits or if there is any other brands. I tried searching but my phone is lame and can't type in to some fields. Much appreciated.

That SJR kit I bought went in easy and works great. I am very happy with it.

Whos the guy who does the cheaper 2" lift? I think its $150 or so, made from the steel tubing. Nowhere near as nice as the SJR stuff, just the functional basic lift.

I can make you a 2" lift kit. Just pm and let me know if you want one.

Heres a pic of the lift kit I make.

Heres some pics of a couple cars I have built lift kits for and installed.

Thanks Clay

what kind of subaru? not all make lifts for every generation.

i have a 2" SJR.

Gloyale (highguys) makes kits too.

Hey now, don't forget about Bill Omlin's Beastly Lifts (TheBeastIDrive).

He's not on much, but he makes EA81 and EA82 lifts, of varying sizes.

He's also much less expensive than SJR, and i have seen his lift blocks in person.

They are built to the *nth degree of structural overkill.

PS: Its just best to call him, as he's not around the board much any more.

Yes that is true. That kit is for a 85-92 subaru loyale or gl or ea82 lift kit.

Thanks Clay

Hello, im new here and interested in doing a 6" lift on a gl, I keep see a lift called a JAW lift. Maybe im bad at searching but I cant find anything, can some one fill me in?

Thanks,

Ben

Hello Ben,

Welcome!

JAW lifts are created by member One Eye (Jeff) and friends here in NW Washington.  They are not sold online or anything like that so that is probably why its hard to find any info.  Most of it is home built by us in his shop using his designs.  If you are interested in purchasing a lift, I would check out a couple of these places.

Also just out of curiosity where are you seeing the JAW Lifts stickers?  Online?  Only a few of us have those haha.

Not stickers, just in peoples descriptions of their rigs, I was actually hoping they were a blueprint as I would like to build my own. Thanks for the info!

Gloyales 6" kit on his white EA81 wagon is a masterpiece. If the production kits are anything like it, I'd go with his craftsmanship hands down.

A 2 incher is uber easy to make too........ :)

Maybe like a Picasso. lol

That car has been the "prototype" bed.  the production kits are alot cleaner but just as strong.
