October 20, 201312 yr Saturday, December 7, Greenwater, Forest Road 70. We'll meet at Mikky D's in Enumclaw at 9:00 a.m. and leave at 9:30 in a group or in groups up Highway 410 to go play in the snow. You have to have snow tires on your car to join us. It's a free country, but if you show up with street tires, you'll get stuck and just piss off the folks behind you that want to keep heading up the trail. This is a good family fun time. Leave your asshattery and bad attitude at home. Kids and friendly dogs welcome. There is a main parking lot that we set up base camp at. If your car is somewhat low and the snow is deep higher up, there will be folk with room to take you.

December 2, 201312 yr I was wondering about the Christmas tree run this year. I guess I never saw this thread. Glad I saw it now, since it's not too late. Is anyone thinking of camping in their car overnight? I didn't do so last year, but I want to. I'm thinking of sleeping in my car and leaving on Sunday. Would be nice if I wasn't the only person. So there are 2 McDonalds in Enumclaw. Which one just for clarity? Option A) 110 Roosevelt Ave E Enumclaw (360) 825-4040Option 40833 292nd Way SE Enumclaw (360) 825-3760 Last year we met at the one on Roosevelt AVE. I'd imagine it'd be the same one. December 3, 201312 yr The one on Roosevelt (Also more commonly known as Hwy 410) is where we meet at. That other address is in the middle of farm/pasture land. Its probably where old farmer McDonald lives. I think some folks camped last year the night of, but not positive.
December 3, 201312 yr I know peacewize camped last year. Someone else too, I think. I actually probably won't be camping. Gonna run to the junkyard Sunday morning. So it'll just be a one day trip for me. Been looking forward to this since last year.
December 3, 201312 yr Author It's gonna be COLD. Prepare for it. http://www.weather.com/weather/5-day/Greenwater+WA+USWA0523:1:US
December 4, 201312 yr Yep, cold as a witches... But, as always we will ask folks to bring some wood for the bonfire. We will have propane heaters, camp stoves, propane and water. Bring food and drink of choice. Bring a shovel and provisions for getting unstuck if need be. Tree permits still cost $10 for those so inclined. Our day camp location will depend on number of participants. The snow was much higher last weekend than in years past. There are a few nice spots further up too.
December 4, 201312 yr Im gonna join this christmas tree run. Gonna bring my '86 hatch & I think my buddy and his girlfriend will be in his '98 outback he just picked up. Ill try and bring some wood for the fire & ill have a chainsaw as well.

December 6, 201312 yr Curious as to how much snow we are looking at expecting Edited December 9, 201312 yr by marcusgl10z28
December 6, 201312 yr Curious as to how much snow we are to be looking forward to? And where is this permit availabe at? If theres no snow in our usual spot, we'll go higher to find it. Permits are available at the Ranger Station just up the road from McD's. Dont wait till the last minute to get it, we all leave together and like to stick together all the way up.
December 8, 201312 yr We made it. (: was lots of fun and I finally got my tree home although my mom thinks its a little big. I would love to get together like that more often.
December 8, 201312 yr Author It was indeed very cold. Saw 7 degrees on the thermometer at one point. Good times, decent turnout.
December 9, 201312 yr Photo dump!!! Beware, as I liked to take pictures of my car, haha. Before getting to camp: Then as we were in the mountains: Then Marcus and I went on our little trip: Then, Marcus decided to get one wheel airborne. He was successful, but we ended up both getting stuck at this point. A little bit of shoveling got us out.
