November 6, 201312 yr i just finished putting true dual glasspacks on my 78 brat, am i the only person to ever do this? ive searched and cant find anybody else that has! am i unique? am i insane?
November 6, 201312 yr The kid I sold my 84 brat too dualed off with cherry bombs and exhaust came out in front of the rear tires .......totally loud

The problem with true duals is it can make the engine abit "peaky" with no way to balance each side,so you loose a little bit of low end.If you add in a piece connecting the two sides then it tends to work better-IE X pipe or H pipe.
November 6, 201312 yr Author Okay, well thus far it seems to have just as much low end. But time will tell i suppose! The main issues i am having are carburetor issues, but i cant afford the $300 weber conversion. Lots of vacuum leaks on mine, one vacuum hose completely gone and i have no idea where it went. Has a little filter looking silver thing that a hose should go on, but no hose. I have a rubber stopper in it now
November 8, 201312 yr That may be a breather tube. In one side out the other. I did the same thing. Put a cap on it and oil shot up the tube connected to my carb. Filling my weber with a shite ton of oil:( that was a task !
November 9, 201312 yr Author well, ive run it some with that stopper and it seems to be fine, im just gonna keep at it until it breaks haha. pooparu i recognize that brat! ive seen it on youtube quite a bit! i remember one video where you and another brat and i think a hatchback went to some wet sand flats. i love your brat, but im very partial to first gens, whose was that white one in that video?

November 21, 201312 yr My 81 brat has full deuls two glasspacks xover and two bike mufflers one on each side blows rings out both side when cold and loud but not to loud did not make any power diff but sounds cool
