April 30, 200421 yr If I wanted to lower an EA82, which springs and dampers would I use? I seem to remember that XT springs and struts would lower an EA82, but how much?
April 30, 200421 yr do a search. me and the scooby had a thread a few months ago and someone posted a good factory spec sheet of all the suspension components on EA82 cars
April 30, 200421 yr How much it lowers it depends on where you are starting from. If you have a 4wd wagon, it will bring it down about 1 3/4 inch
April 30, 200421 yr XT front struts/springs will bring it down aeounds 2 inches...the rear springs is what you want, as the XT struts for the rear will actually raise you up. The springs will bring it down 1/2 to 1 inch.
April 30, 200421 yr Author Ok, now the question I really want answered. What will these to the front of an EA81? I know RX springs will raise the front about 1", so the XT springs will take away that one inch, then lower it 3/4 of an inch below the stock height? Probably the net gain on my car will be less because it is on a turbo wagon and they're lower already. Would I be able to use EA82 struts on my EA81?
March 5, 200818 yr XT front struts/springs will bring it down aeounds 2 inches...the rear springs is what you want, as the XT struts for the rear will actually raise you up.
