Pink Brat

Featured Replies

Greetings from Vista, California.  I just completed a restoration of my '69 VW Baja Bug, Gecko Pearlcoat, can't miss it!  My daughter just finished high school and inherited her grandfather's '78 Pink Brat that has been parked in his carport in Yuma, Arizona for almost 20 years.  Very clean body, almost no rust anywhere, interior looks like new.  I'm told there is a starter problem so it's not running, but I think I've found my next restoration project.  This one is in seemingly much better condition than the VW so I'm hoping it won't take as long so she can begin driving it.  That's my story.  I nearly bought one of these new when they first came out.  I love these old classics and can't wait to get it rolling!

Welcome aboard, Kenichi.  You found a great place here--folks will give all the advice and help you could ask for.  Fair warning however--they will demand to see pictures!

Hope your daughter's a Sweetie and appreciates what you're doing for her!  Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

That doesn't look like a traditional pink that I would expect, but its beautiful! Kinda looks like pink with a little raspberry tint or something. Nice!
