August 21, 201411 yr Once these springs sag it'll be good, you don't want to cut too much like Mr. AK said.
August 21, 201411 yr I never needed to cut anything from them, but I obtained used springs from the Junk Yard... maybe you need to drive your subie Loaded, in order to let them settle... I bet that you'll Love the new way the Subie will handle, with a loaded rear... like never before. Kind Regards.
August 22, 201411 yr it really is night and day difference. i have loaded the whole cargo area with the seats folded down full of fire wood, about 400lbs. and drove it a few miles down a trail to a bonfire site and didnt even bottom out.. the engine complained more than the rear suspension
August 23, 201411 yr Author ok, ok. I need to do something about my suspension. I finally got to do some fun driving in this car. A freshly gravelled road that was loose as can be. In FWD and 4wd it felt like I had boat steering and it was nearly impossible to keep control of the car when breaking loose. My old car was much tighter and there would be no lag when rolling the wheel back and forth. I imagine this is the front springs? Could it be anything in the steering? With my work schedule, sourcing used tempo and accord springs will be ridiculously hard. Finding outback spacers is tough enough. I am thinking $400 for king springs doesn't sound like the worst plan out there.
August 23, 201411 yr Or you could by these, take a 1.5 coils off with a cutoff wheel and bam! Instant WRX! http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/MOO0/CC852/03360.oap?year=1992&make=Ford&model=Tempo&vi=1139655&ck=Search_coil+spring_1139655_3283&keyword=coil+spring

I assume a box has two coils? When you say instant WRX, I think stiff.
September 17, 201411 yr Author I had my second date with a girl and I decided to drive to the top of a mountain and camp in Betty White. I figured if she is going to be around for a bit that she should get to know Betty. Not a bad camp site eh?

August 19, 201510 yr Any recommendations on paint that will last? The best paint Ive ever used is called POR15. Its pretty crazy stuff dries super hard and is damn near impossible to remove. The only problem with it is its not uv resistant and if its not covered by something it will oxidize.
