May 15, 200421 yr for the 2 part driveshaft on your ea82? did the 2wd to 4wd parts swap, but dont like the ideas i have to make a bearing mount short of going to the junkyard to get the stock sheet metal, what have you done to mount that thing and how much stress does it need to handle?
May 15, 200421 yr When "Catch This Fox" comes out, you can actually watch Miles Fox weld one up for Trashwagon 5 (which runs a complete EA82 drivetrain...)
May 15, 200421 yr Up here the rust is killing these mounting plates(in the flooring) Subaru used.If you're in the rust zone-I forgot to look-then use something that'll last and coat it with tar or something.
May 15, 200421 yr morganm has his welded into rust, by yours truly. it caught on fire when the rust gave way, but it works nice. we welded it in upside down to make up for the lift. and we just got back from some pretty big bounces, and it held fine. his car is rusted to crap. just build it up, or weld in a plate then weld to it. but i say weld it!
May 15, 200421 yr Author much less stress there than i thought, eh? hmmm typical, i usually overbuild... bolts it is then!
