So I'm putting the engine in my 1991 loyale back together because some clutz took it apart. It's almost complete but I'm at a loss on what goes here by the alternator by the plug hanging beside it. Any help?

Yes on the driver side

That's for your AC clutch. There should be a matching connector on the wire harness.

That is absolutely for your AC compressor

Yep, that connector is for the AC clutch.  It should stay disconnected until you replace the missing A/C line.  Also missing, seems to be the rotation sensor for the A/C compressor.  It is supposed to disengage the clutch if the compressor seizes.

If you want to disable the ac temporarily, there is a 15 amp fuse you can pull on the passenger side by the firewall where the ac pipes go into the evaporater.
