Car won't start

Featured Replies

Hi I have an 2007 Subaru Legacy, My problem is that after a rain it won't start. I have seen some say it could be the cold pack. To be honest I don't know if it has a cold pack. I also notice that when I get out of the car it smells hot. The temp gauge never reads hot. I would really appreciate some suggestions.

Check the cat convertor after a drive. If cheery red than the engine is running very rich.

Miles?

last time it was tuned up?

Whe n was the timing belt changed?

has the smell always been there? 07 could easily have a split boot that has slung grease onto the exhaust - that stinks kinda bad.

do you have a check engine light on? get the car scanned at a car parts store and post the number here.

next time the car is running, you could use a plant mister spray bottle to spray the ignition parts to see if it makes the car stumble.

if you are not able to do repairs yourself, you can post in a new thread a request for a good shop near your city.
