But my querey re this post is. My leone seems to have a very heavy clutch, I have been told that this is normal. The clutch seems to work fine, maybe a little grabby with about 1 1/2" to 2" of free play before it takes up.

Is it normal for leones to have a heavy clutch? or is this a general problem they have?

i used to think my heavy clutch was normal, till i started buying way too many subarus. now it seems that when your clutch gets very heavy, it means the cable is at fault, and may break soon! mine has been heavy as hell, for 20k miles without breaking, but i guess its coming eventually

Ditto. I have a new cable in the car just waiting for the dreaded moment:-p . Tim

2wd has 2:1 ratio, 4wd has 3:1 ratio, to reduce peddal effort

Yep - cable is about to go. Best to buy one from the dealer. I've not had very good luck with after market cables. They don't last as long.
