December 16, 20169 yr Just as the title says. It is not my car but one I am looking to purchase. Any ideas? Stuck switch? Bad fuse? I am not on location and cannot tear it apart as it is not my car.
December 16, 20169 yr Could be a security system, have them check the owners manual , reset button usually under drivers side dash.
December 16, 20169 yr There's some sort of "security" system. My '96 Outback had a yellow tag hanging from the battery cable (and I think under the hood or something) telling you how to disable it. It involved finding a little black button hanging in the wiring harness by the pedals and holding it for a few seconds or something.
December 16, 20169 yr From the Owner's Manual: "1. Parking lights will flash when the vehicle’s battery is disconnected and reconnected. To stop lights from flashing, either:- Press remote transmitter “UNLOCK” button once.- Turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position and press programmingbutton for one second (see location below)."
December 17, 20169 yr Yeah the security system does that. Disconnect the battery negative, turn the ignition key to the On position then reconnect battery.
