i have a 2011 subaru forester i had the front o2 senser changed and it will not rev up past 3000 rpm by the time i got back to the shop it had no power at all and would not rev past 2000 rpm anyone have any ideas

It ran fine to the shop without a o2 senser when it was put in it started doing this

some folks report problems with non-oem sensors.

 

why was the part replaced?

Was the new 02 sensor wiring spliced onto your old 02 wiring? If so, that can be the source of the problem. I have found that to be a problem in the past, and now won't install an 02 sensor that requires wiring splice.

yeah, get one that has a plug already on it and there should be no problems... I have used Bosch O2 sensors on a couple of my Subarus, but ALWAYS the one with a plug already installed - NEVER the splice versions.
