I didn't see any starter contacts listed for old gen stuff.  

 

will the EJ kits work for old gen or XT6?

as in the copper bits inside a starter motor? Cant even recall if the copper bits are inside the solenoid. Never had to rebuild one.

I got mine from the dealer, but I suspect you can get along with any on-line set.  Probably a lot less expensive. 

 

While you're making updates you might also want to add a starter relay.  Sooner than later it is going to need that too.

I've just cut and bent & drilled them from a sheet of 1/16" thick copper I have.
The contacts are in the solenoid.

I made mine a bit wider than the one that wore out to give it more contact area.  Have not had to do it for quite a while.
