Subaru legacy 1997 needs oil in gearbox, according to the two dipsticks.

But I can't find where to fill it, or top it up.  Manual useless !

You fill both from the dipstick tubes.

Oh - really ?     It did cross my mind, but they are in such awkward places, I thought it couldn't be !!

I use a funnel with a hose. Check levels in the trans while idling, after running thru all the gears. The marks on the auto's stick are only a few ounces apart - not a liter/qt like engine stick so, sneak up on FULL.
