I wanted to know where the spark plugs are located and how to replace the spark plugs in a 2011 Forester. Thanks. 

here's a video, there are several similar (most of us would insist you stay with NGK brand plugs - other brands have caused problems) ;

His 2011 Forester will have the FB engine.  Texan's video is an old SOHC EJ, not the same.

Plugs are center of heads, horizontal.  It's a coil on plug engine, so got to remove the coils first.

They are 14mm headed spark plugs, so you'll need one of those type sockets.

tricky, requires just the right length extensions.  Possible to do in place, but easier if you lift the engine a bit on each side as you service them.

ah - I thought Forester was 2012 for the FB - sorry for the confusion.

One you open up the hood. Where are the spark plugs located. Are they easy to see or not easy to see because something is in the way. Thanks.

2 on the left, 2 on the right.  

Dead center of the Valve covers, under the Coil packs on each plug.

If you can't find them, you probably should have someone else change them.

The plugs are a pain to get to, have a look and decide for yourself.

I totally know the plugs are very hard to get to. I still want to see and find out where they are. Thanks.

your welcome. There may be 3-4 other videos but, I have seen productions from that same company and they are pretty good.

The first time you do most maintenance procedures will take the longest, but  you will be faster the next time.
