August 11, 20196 yr Hey guys, had to replace a section of bad brake line on my 83gl and while trying to bleed the brakes the bleeder valve snapped it’s on a rear drum any idea on what will work for a replacement ? I’m going to try to get the rest out without damaging anything but if I do what are my options? Replace the hub? Any help is appreciated
August 11, 20196 yr replace the wheel cylinder. Cheap and easy. Just put some penetrating oil on the wheel cyl bolts and hardline fitting before trying.
August 12, 20196 yr Yea, I rebuild my own calipers/cylinders almost always. But I've never had any luck extracting bleeders. It's basically the only time I'll buy a caliper/cylinder.
