Chers fans de Subaru,

Je veux convertir une RHD Subaru Brat en LHD.

Savez-vous qui peut m'aider à trouver les pièces aux États-Unis pour moi?

Je vous remercie beaucoup pour votre aide !

Dear Subaru fans,

I want to convert a RHD Subaru Brat to LHD. Do you know who can help me find the parts in the United States for me?

Thank you very much for your help!

Hello Mark.

I visited google translate and dropped this in the quote above for others to read in English.

What you want to do is very achieveable. And it seems you have all the parts listed except maybe for pedal box and cables (if infact different to the RHD units).

All the best in finding someone to help you out.

Cheers

Bennie

There was a gentleman from Scotland on this forum who did the same in reverse, suggest you contact him as he may well have the parts you need...

I can't believe you are importing a Brumby from Queensland, to convert to LHD...surely the cost out of the US would have been far cheaper.

Thank you Bennie,  i wrote my message in english, but Google translated it automatically in french....

@dfoyl:  i ve discussed with Ritchie, he doesn’t have the parts anymore....

It should be nice if someone in USA can collect the needed parts and send them where the container will be ( I don't know where yet)

You likely need everything except the shell for the conversion including LHD brake master cylinder and at least some photos of a RHD brake line set up from the master

Wiring loom

And it doesn’t have to be from a BRAT, any MY series will have all the bits you need.

You just need to find someone willing to part with the bits you need and ship them to you.

Cheers

It has to be shipped in USA, not in Europe.....

The only LHD Brat's in the us were for the postal service and there were VERY few of them for rural areas. At least, that's what I read in an article.

Ummm... I think you’ve got this backwards!

Ok, now I’m confused. You’ve got a right hand drive beat/brumby that you want to convert to left hand drive - and you’re in the states? Is this a language translation error?

Yes, it is right....

I'm living in Luxembourg and i bought a Brat in Australia.... a RHD.

I want to convert it in LHD like our local specs.

I've got the possibility to ask a Luxembourger guy who works with the USA to put my parts in one of his containers that will be shipped in Europe.

Oops. I brain farted again. lol I thought you were talking about having a LHD and converting it to RHD. Geez, I really have to stop posting in the morning before coffee, lol My post applied to RHD units we had in the states not LHD. I'm an idiot. My bad.
