Skubaskott
I have been scouring the forums for the answer. Is the distributor with the Carter carb different than the distributor with a Hitachi carb
carfreak85
As I recall the distributors differ from 2WD to 4WD, with the 2WD distys having a more desirable curve.

Its in my 82 brat just trying to figure out if I can use the disty parts from the Carter attached brat to switch to fuel injection I have the ea82 disty as well since I have to switch the gears over. I'm just wondering if I need to find a disty from a Hitachi attached ea81 or if the Carter will work
naru2
All 82 Brats use the same Hitachi distributor regardless of which carb they had.

GeneralDisorder
The Brat model - being 4WD, always uses the Hitachi distributor. The ND distributor was used on 2WD models. GD

The parts car was a 93 loyale auto.
GeneralDisorder
I'm not aware of any significant differences in the 93's. GD

GD I found an 89 that's manual so I'll pull that and it will be easier from there plus the throttle body looks way better
