I have a no start problems with my ignition coil

Featured Replies

I have a 90 loyale that has a no start I have replaced the coil and there is no spark right after the coil I am wondering what these plug goes too will show in picture it is the same kind of plug that plugs in the the transistor the weird thing on the ig coil bracket

The coil bracket needs to be well grounded on these. No spark w/o the transistor being grounded.

Any codes?

Got 12 volts at the coil-key on?

Only other connection to the coil is the noise suppression capacitor on coil positive.

By no spark after the coil, do you mean you have spark at the coil?

If you have spark at the coil and not at the plugs, it's most likely the rotor has come unscrewed in the distributor.

I have just been checking the spark by pulling the spark plug wire of if the distributor and seeing if it will ark off of a group.

The spark plug wire of the ig coil

You have to have the coil bracket bolted to the car. The transistor is attached to it, and has to be grounded to work.

Yes it is I’ve tested the ground on it too

It looks like it because the top bolt isn’t in
