Found in oil pan, thin curled up metal.

 

I haven’t been inside a Subaru before so I lean on you guys for thoughts.

Nothing I've seen before.

This should sell some magnetic drain plugs. 

 

Can only guess same as above from the metal.

If this is a good engine maybe a bearing/chunks were wedged in/under oil pan baffles and not noticed during a previous pan swap. Or just sitting there and the pan was quickly swapped.
