October 12, 200421 yr Author The filters threads are the same....I can sell you one...but i cannot garuntee 100% that the gasket surfaces will line up 100%....the next time I am at NAPA I will look at the suby filter vs the one they call for the corolla.

October 13, 200421 yr I'll sign up this week for sure. I have a question though: The way the threads are on the oil pump and the cooler adaptor, does it end up that the hose attachments will ALWAYS face down? Or can it possibly happen that they could face another direction?
October 13, 200421 yr Author I'll sign up this week for sure. I have a question though: The way the threads are on the oil pump and the cooler adaptor, does it end up that the hose attachments will ALWAYS face down? Or can it possibly happen that they could face another direction? Just get some 90 deg fittings...thats what I did. my current setup is way radical tho...and i odnt even use that adapter.
October 14, 200421 yr For example...I am not going to use one of these adapters...for i am going to use a remote filter mount kit along with an oil cooler...non-thermostat'ed. These adapters have a t-stat in them, which is good for the street/autocross/track days. I am shooting for all out racing-izm.what temp does the t-stat open at never mind last time i read though it didn't say and instead of reading though again i just posted so sorry
October 14, 200421 yr subyluvr, earlier in the thread they mention using this on a NA car may not offer any value since the oil isn't heated up by the turbo. do you feel it's worth it for a NA vehicle or did you get a turbo?
October 14, 200421 yr Author what temp does the t-stat open at starts to open at 160* F and fully open at 180* F.
October 15, 200421 yr subyluvr, earlier in the thread they mention using this on a NA car may not offer any value since the oil isn't heated up by the turbo. do you feel it's worth it for a NA vehicle or did you get a turbo? This won't go on my XT. I've got the boost bug BAD, and getting to drive Manny's monster XT didn't help . So I'm very very seriously considering building a Turbowagon in a very similar fashion... That's what this oil cooler would be for. Thanks for looking out though
October 15, 200421 yr sweet...that's what i was hoping your response would be. glad to hear it michael. hope it's fun.
October 15, 200421 yr Author so did you find one to fit my rolla, Will? I will be going to NAPA tomorrow for a 3 way cat...send me an email reminding me....i just need to compare the oil filters, as the threads are the same.
January 19, 200521 yr Author Folger's has 8 of these right now. 1-704-536-9635, as for parts and Mike Melton.
