fuel pump locations

Featured Replies

Where are the fuel pumps located on EA82 cars and EA81 cars? I'm adding a EA82 on to existing EA81 for a swap project and need their locations.

they are all in the same place, right in front and to the rear passenger side tire. outside of the cab. you just follow the fuel line down to the pump, and fuel filter. i have a part number posted somewhere around here, that works good for an efi swap, and is only about 40-60 $$. fits the ea81 carb fittings fine, then you just replace a few feet of worn out low pressure rubber hose, with efi hoses.

i tried using the carb pump in the back, to feed the efi pump in the front, but it didnt work well for me, mine is now inside the cab, right above where it should be stock. nice and loud, i can hear it working. =]

no they aren't the brat is in front of left rear tire

ea81/2 wagon is in front of right rear tire

um... my brats fuel pump was in the same spot my ea82 wagon, and ea81 hatch.

okay,

1980 and 1981 ea81 models had the fuel pump in the engine compartment, SOA did sell a relocation kit for those years because of a vapor lock problem.

My pump on an ea82 turbo gl 3 door was in front of the right rear. Hence the WAS...i can't find one for a reasonable price and it just sits there and rots because i don't know the right psi its supposed to pump so i can't get one from napa and throw a regulator on it to work right. sorry about the run on sentence my english teach would kick my rump roast. anywho....i have a friend with a brat and the pump on the right rear also (without mods). sounds like some people need to quit sounding so confident in the first couple posts before they hear some responses.
