visor falls down

Featured Replies

on my 87 gl-10 the sun visors are always falling down i got some velcro tabs to hold them up but it is kinda getto looking. i was wondering if there are any tricks to fix this problem

Welcome to the club!

Screw them down harder on the little hindge clamps. I used a thick piece of paper in the catch holder to make it tighter so it wouldn't twist down. It kinda worked.

Good luck,

Glenn

82 SubaruHummer...been there done that

01 Forester...going there doing that

you can do that with the ea81 bodies but the ea82 doesn't have a screw to tighten. atleast i haven't found it

I kinda shoved mine over to the side some on my '87 GL10. That gave the clips on the roof some more bit and it seems to work OK.

replacement

I swapped the visors from my ea82 85 wagon in my 84 brat

clear duck tape

I'm with subiemech85. the driver's side visor on my '88 xt6 always was falling down, no matter, what. I replaced it with the driver's side visor from my '89 xt6 parts car with less miles, and it functions perfectly, just like it rolled off the assembly line (the visor, anyway :/)

I yanked the stupid little mirror off to reduce weight. works good now. it used to drop at every rail road crossing.
