:banghead: :banghead: I have a leone EA82 1986 4WD and when I drive on the highway in the night(or day) with my lights on, if I turn on a high consumer (ex. vent. from the hot air) my tachometer show-me more or less rpm and is jump from more to less until I turn off the vent. The problem is that in this moment my car lacks much power and I hear a noise like noise made by engine when I give to him bad gasoline. Sorry for my bad English and I really hope that someone can help-me. Thank you very much. :banghead:

Are any of the idiot lights coming on when the trouble starts?

That sounds somewhat similar to some trouble I had when my alternator started dying.

If I'm reading your post correctly, it sounds as though when you place a load on the electrical system, you start to experience shorts in the system - i.e.: erratic electrical delivery to the tachometer and bucking from the motor (which may be due to fault in the spark to the power path (coil, wires, plugs)). Runa a diagnostic check on the alternator/regulator, and coil. Good luck.

sounds like an alternator to me. or better yet, a voltage regulator inside the alternator. watch for the battery guage, mine goes to 18 volts and does what yo9u are talking about whenever my alt fries.

my thinking is he has very very bad if not missing motor/body grounds between the body motor and battery ... will cause the same problem

And the fact that my car lose power in that moment is caused by this problem??

Any short in the electrical system could cause, especially a grounding problem, aninterruption of electrical flow to the plugs. Check the grounds.

So was it when you turn on the air conditioning is when you have problems? cause if it is you might want to check the belts and also have the compressor checked too cause it might be failing and dragging the motor a lil bit

blown voltage reg. 86's are notorious for doing that. i've gone through 12 of them in 4 years
