the problem with the legacy engine is that its not the turbo modle, i want to keep the car turboed.

but the leg has 140 your RX has 115. you won't notice the lack of turbo. and hell the EJ22 is more relibale than the EA82T loads more

i would still rather have the ea82 and turbo

if i was pressed over a n/a car, i would worry about my impreza. besides, i have all these turbo parts that ive been aquiring for this car and i dont want to put em to waste.

sell'em I'd bet you could make some money back on them.

wow seems to me like somebody got some sand in his emo man-gina. period.

are there any special tools needed to pull the heads on the car?

10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm.....brain, engine stand/crane, jack, jackstands.

This is why my old Subaru is no longer my daily driver. Fix one thing and something else breaks. It was a never ending cycle. Eventually I came to the conclusion I needed a daily driver and the Subaru was my ORV toy. Been much happier every since :drunk:

who needs a jack, the rx sits rather high off the ground as it is.i can get under it easily. i should be set with getting the engine out.

Yeah, it's what forced me to purchase a new car. It puzzles me why I not only got one but two extra problems to go with it (RX turbo and another XT6).

(hoping you don't take this the wrong way) but you use the jack to tilt the tranny/engine as needed, much easier than wrestling with it
