March 7, 200521 yr make shure your spair is the same size as your offroad tires.... i had a flat on the rear today while cruzing up a creek when i got back on pavement my spair was squealing like mad. pulled it off put it up front i handnt thought about it but it was 3in shorter anyway just a thought that should be comon sence
March 7, 200521 yr OR... if your spare is a different size... put a good tire off the front onto the back and put the mismatch spare on the front so the front diff can take up the difference. Or just yank your rear driveshaft and go 3 wheel drive.
March 7, 200521 yr I'm in with Flow, A matching spare setup would cost me $130 I just figured I'd move the small tire up front or pull an axle. There is also a remote possiblilty on balancing with 3 wheels? Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
March 7, 200521 yr When I buy offroad tires for my rigs, I always buy 5, and I buy 6 when I can. Here's why. 1. Nothing like having a full size spare! 2. If you rotate your spare in from time to time (assuming you only have 1) then you will get 25% more life out of your other tires. . . If you have 2 spares that you rotate in, your tires will last 50% longer. 3. Once you pop a tire, you have to buy that extra one anyways. Then you have a new tire you have to run with worn tires.
March 7, 200521 yr i have always gotten 5 tires no matter what rig it was for,but with our 4wd systems it is mandatory that you have 5,at least for a lifted rig.....imo.i have been looking seriously at tires as to purchase in the next couple of weeks and have found alot of reason not to buy 5,but i will .
