March 22, 200521 yr are ea81 blowers the same as ea82's ? and the location of the blower motor on a 84 ea81 brat
March 22, 200521 yr can't say whether they are the same but the blower moter should be behind the glove box stan
March 22, 200521 yr they are not the same. it's pretty easy to change the blower motor....I have a spare if you need one....
March 22, 200521 yr Author changed the blower motor ,but still no blower ,in fact no power going to the blower , i checked all fuses ,
March 22, 200521 yr i had i problem like that on my 84 wagon got tired of trying to find the problem so i just ran a new power wire and used a toggle switch to turn my fan on and off
March 22, 200521 yr did you check the switch? I had a similar issue with my very first ea81 wagon, and they (service place, before I did my own work) ran a new wire to feed the fan, but the stock switch still worked....
March 22, 200521 yr Get a test light and start checking for power at the switch and the wiring to the motor while the switch is on.
March 22, 200521 yr Author already tested for power at the switch , i just ran a wire from the fuse box to the greem/ white wire
March 22, 200521 yr One thing to be aware of is some heater circuits use the speed switch to complete the ground portion of the circuit. I'm not sure how this one is designed but it may be like that. If that is so then there should be power at the motor but it won't work until the ground portion is completed.
March 23, 200521 yr fan speed controls and air control buttons can cause these problems sometimes. but i'm not familiar with brats or EA81's.
