March 30, 200521 yr I have a few here from the NY AutoShow if anyone is interested. -Heikki Cool but looks kinda windy for the passenger
March 30, 200521 yr I don't care for the styling. But then I don't care for how most new cars (except sedans and coupes, which are generally reasonable) are styled. I guess it's good to see a Subaru big enough to put the H6 to use. Fold-flat seating achieved by raising the height of the floor in the cargo hold. Two questions: Is it officially a Minivan? Does it share a platform with any other vehicles, or is it based off of anything else?
March 30, 200521 yr LMAO firstwagon. Might be a bit wet in the rain and snow as well. Maybe it comes with a gore-tex blanket.
March 30, 200521 yr Author They had a few complete cars there also (B9's), but none that visitors could get inside of and check out. It does look like they will be offering a navigation system finally. One of the demo cars was playing a (Legacy) advertisement on that big screen in the dash and some of the hard keys around it seemed to have navigation functions written on them. I guess it's about time, now the only question is will they get the navi in the Legacy... -Heikki
March 30, 200521 yr Seriously, how lame is that. I was really thinking about getting one, because I want a mini-van type thing to go camping with, in the event of un-kosher weather etc.. I'll stick with the wagon until they go with removable seats. Fold-flat seating achieved by raising the height of the floor in the cargo hold.
April 6, 200520 yr so when will they be makin one with a MANUAL TRANSMISSION grrrrr Subaru dosen't offer the manual with the H6 in the US, nor do they offer a manual with VDC equipted Subaurs and all Subarus with the H6 in the US come with VDC.
April 6, 200520 yr Subaru dosen't offer the manual with the H6 in the US, nor do they offer a manual with VDC equipted Subaurs and all Subarus with the H6 in the US come with VDC. Well that just sucks!
April 7, 200520 yr Hey The Brian: No it's not a minivan, it's an AWD SUV! Aren't you the guy that said this: :-/... I'd like to see $4.33/gal in gas taxes here. Then all the people driving their Dodge Ram 3/4 ton macho trucks to work every day at 15mpg would consider switching to a more reasonable car. Without so many Ford Explorers on the road, it would be safe to drive a 2000lb hatchback. Subaru would bring back the Justy. Hello, 50mpg! __________________96 Legacy Brighton, EJ22, manual everything. 126K mi. Green. A Subaru SUV, a reasonable car. Give me a break! A good use for an H6 ? (when a 4 would do???)
April 7, 200520 yr A few suggestions for subaru... more visibility in the back. I think any passenger in the back seat would have to be a mijet and be claustrophobic as hell back there. The floor needs to get lowered. Look at the space between the tranny and center console, theat could be reduced giving more passenger room. The fake floor in the back could be lowered, the hood could be lowered so it comes closer to the engine. The headlights should be put where they belong, and the "signiture" grill should be changed back so something not PT Cruiser like.
April 9, 200520 yr i was able to set in one at the dayton ,ohio car show , no manuals, no turbo's , started making them sunday april 3rd
April 10, 200520 yr Looks ugly on pictures. I like the 3500 lbs towing package. Did SOA publish the EPA MPG figures on it?
April 10, 200520 yr Does it share a platform with any other vehicles, or is it based off of anything else?Yes, unfortunately. GM made Subaru develop this car jointly with Saab. (GM owns 20% of Subaru and likes to push them around, which they are not very happy about) Saab will be unveiling their car later this year which will have a H6 engine, but i think Subaru are going to detune it slightly. The chief engineer, Andreas Z...something, who designed Alfas cars not so long ago says that this car is distinctly Subaru and will not be very similar to Saabs offering.
