Borrowed Axle tool--please return

Featured Replies

A while back I lent the special tool for pulling the axle back through the hub to someone local. I'm thinking of doing some axle work on the Brat and it would be nice to have it back. So will the person who has it be kind enough to bring it back. Thanks.

Sorry to you all; I finally found it (as you can tell I'm cleaning up my garage). It was hidden away somewhere where I never would have put it. Must have been my wife.

Don't feel bad I lost mine temporarily too. When it finally surfaced in Joy's outback I wanted to blame her but i knew better than to sleep on the couch any more than I already deserve to. My back was sore enough this month.

Just interested in what this thing is, as i found it pretty easy to put the cv stub back into the hub. Hehe im a fully sick rapper:rolleyes:.

Normally it's not needed but some bearing/axle combos are pretty tight and this just makes the job much easier.

I was lucky enough to get mine on ebay.

I'm sick of pulling and hammering on my axles, where do I get one of these?

i have two cars that dont need them. but my offroad subasru(the one i change all the time) is hard as hell to install. i hammer on the hub, while holding the axle, but my hub is getting pretty deformed after like 10 axle installs.

i thnk id like one of those tools

Basically you thread the tool onto the end of the axle and the tool pulls it thru the hub by applying pressure against the end toward the hub.

I'd like to see a picture of this thing?
